Mands, the owner and creator of the company, is an elementary ESL teacher who was inspired by her students and fellow educators to create MadeByMandsCo. Mands creates items for those who dedicate their lives to bettering the lives of others. She lovingly calls them “Difference Makers.” Difference Makers are those who are always aiming to inspire those around them, who never stop learning and growing, and who love to sprinkle kindness wherever they go. Mands originally intended on designing just for teachers, but quickly realized that there were so many other professions who wanted a little TLC too! She is so proud of how the company has expanded and how diverse the community of Difference Makers has become.
